So by now everyone who has a car and even some who don't, realize the struggle that people are making with the parking lot in front of the Fine Arts building. The band blocks it off every morning, so in the afternoon they have a place to practice, without waiting for people to move their cars.
Now in some ways I completely agree, mainly because I am in colorguard and during 7th and 8th period the guard and percussion practice outside. So if there were people parked there, we would not be able to get in enough practice time.
Also some mornings the Diamonds practice outside as well. So by not blocking it off, where would that leave the people who are out there during school hours. But by being a student driver and realizing that there just are not enough spaces for everyone all the time and if there is, it is very crammed.
While though, there is a perfectly good parking lot to park in, but while most may disagree with the choice of blocking it off, everyone will just have to wait until November, when the band is done practicing in the space. Then everyone can park where they want.
