Issue 4

I am writing the colorguard competition story.

My sources would be the guard director: Bucky Flores
Then interview other members of the guard.

Questions:
Why was the WGI regional held at Akins?
How did the event go?

How is the guard this year compared to previous years?
Why did you join guard?
How do you think the season is going this year?

Global Warming

I am still working on the research and will have a draft either by tonight or tomorrow.

Issue 2

For this issue I will be doing an opinions piece on Global Warming.

So I need to do research on the statistics on what is happening and the ways of how we can change our school, so we can become more eco-friendly. Since now we have an enviornmental club. I could even find out who the teacher is and find out what the club is doing to help. That way I can find out other ways we need to change.

I will also talk about my position, which is that global warming is happening and that we need to change if we want later generations to still be here.

1st issue 2

So by now everyone who has a car and even some who don't, realize the struggle that people are making with the parking lot in front of the Fine Arts building. The band blocks it off every morning, so in the afternoon they have a place to practice, without waiting for people to move their cars.

Now in some ways I completely agree, mainly because I am in colorguard and during 7th and 8th period the guard and percussion practice outside. So if there were people parked there, we would not be able to get in enough practice time.

Also some mornings the Diamonds practice outside as well. So by not blocking it off, where would that leave the people who are out there during school hours. But by being a student driver and realizing that there just are not enough spaces for everyone all the time and if there is, it is very crammed.

While though, there is a perfectly good parking lot to park in, but while most may disagree with the choice of blocking it off, everyone will just have to wait until November, when the band is done practicing in the space. Then everyone can park where they want.

1st issue

I talked to Chris about why it is not posted, but it will for sure be on there when I get home tonight.
